LAS VEGAS, April 27, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Titan IC Systems today announced its new Hyperion product family, offering high performance regular expression (regex) offload solutions for the network, cloud security and server markets.

The Hyperion 10G is a high performance PCIe accelerator card, targeted for offloading traditional software based regex content analysis tasks for a range of security applications requiring small form factor and low power consumption, without compromising performance.

The card is based on the high performance Titan IC 64-bit Regular Expression Processor (RXP), optimised for streamed IP packet and flow processing, offering true 10Gbit/s performance.

Titan IC Systems VP Engineering, Dwayne Burns emphasized that the simplification of integrating 10Gbit/s regex offload capability within existing applications has been a core objective and is one of Hyperion's key differentiators. Hyperion development tools are optimised to provide customers with a simple upgrade and migration path for most software based legacy systems.

Commenting on the launch, Titan IC Systems CEO, Godfrey Gaston stated that, there is a clear market opportunity for regular expression processing capability at true line rate and the launch of Hyperion 10G is an exciting and eagerly anticipated solution to this complex problem.

The solution is based on the latest high performance FPGA technology and offers customers a scalable and customizable solution for the most demanding DPI applications including IDS/IPS, application identification, stateful packet/flow classification, URL/content filtering and other layer-7 content processing functions.

Titan IC Systems is exhibiting at Interop Las Vegas 2010, please visit us at booth 2730.
