PARIS, October 20 /PRNewswire/ --

- With Webwag Mobile 2.0, Internet and Mobile Become One

Webwag, a publisher of Internet and mobile widgets, announced today the launch of Webwag Mobile 2.0, the new version of its mobile widget engine, which will be commercialized in both versions directly to consumers and as a white label.

Webwag Mobile 2.0 aims at the convergence of the Web and the mobile Internet. It has been designed to be practical and easy to use: users need to register only once from their mobile phone or on the Web.

The same content is then offered on both medias.

Easier, more user-friendly, more intuitive, enabling hundreds of widgets and RSS-feeds, synchronized with Webwag's web page, Webwag Mobile 2.0 features a tutorial meant to guide the mobile Internet users in their selection of the services they are interested in. The most relevant widgets are then automatically added to the preselected listed interests of the user.

Two features are especially innovative and practical:

- My friends, my community: users select their nine favourite contacts to phone them, send them a text message or a Widget, in just a few clicks within Webwag Mobile.

- Location-based content: by selecting their city, users receive relevant content such as weather forecasts and other local information. Other location-based services will soon be available.

20 to 40 uses per month!

Webwag introduces its widget engine as a white label for mobile operators, mobile phone manufacturers, content publishers, service providers and media groups. Webwag Mobile 2.0 is the best way to reach end-users and increase their loyalty, directly from their mobile phone, via a simple, entertaining and flexible interface. The widget environment, the billing and the user identification can all be customized so as to meet the customers' demands.

Webwag is now available on hundreds of mobile Java phones, on the Web, on the i-Phone, and shortly on Windows Mobile and BlackBerry.

Mobile Webwag users launch our widget engine as often as 20 to 40 time a month! Nothing can stop the widget phenomenon now, as widgets can make Internet access, mobile or not, much easier. With its new mobile version, Webwag is overthrowing received ideas. Most users can now have access to rich and customized mobile Internet. Widgets for the stock exchange, route descriptions, the weather forecast or Sudoku, they all offer an easy and fast experience and make the Webwag Mobile 2.0 a unique application, said Florent Pitoun, Managing Director.
