Marwar teak or Tecomella undulata is plant found in wilderness of desert of Rajasthan including extreme desert of western Rajasthan. This plant provides wood resembling in qualities teak or Tectona grandis to some extent and is known as teak of Marwar.
Alas this plant is coming in endangered plant species ( not in that legal sense of meaning of red data book things) but its rarer and rarer to see these plants. Save the plants to save life.
A plant of Tecomella undulata on road of Malviya Nagar Jaipur is a rare sight.
On and behind these hills  surrounding of famous Amber fort of Jaipur was famous shooting range of earstwhile Maharaja of Jaipur and almost in until 1920s to 1940s period hunting tiger in this range was not uncommon, meaning thereby the forests were so dense that wild animals have their habitat.
Now in 2010 see those hills again. Plants are gone, hills are barren, pink city of Jaipur 15 degree more temperatures in month of April this year as compared to previous records and Rajasthan for that matter had temperatures more than 49 degree for several days.
