Acision, the world's leading messaging company, announced today it has been awarded a contract for advanced messaging services for 3's networks in Australia and Austria to enable the delivery of enhanced voicemail and videomail services to its customers.

It also provides them with further flexibility to easily deploy services such as voice-to-text, celebrity caller greetings, visual voicemail and enhanced voice message notification features.

Victa McClelland, Chief Technology Officer, 3 mobile Australia said, We wanted a solution that would not just be a standalone voicemail box but one that can also integrate further messaging enhancements. The Acision call completion solution met our requirement for a flexible platform based on an open architecture and all at a lower operational cost.

Rory Buckley, Chief Executive of Acision, added: Working with customers like 3 means that we support the services that matter to them today while helping them build their vision for the future. For 3 in Australia and Austria, offering the best mobile service to their customers is a major priority and this means continually reviewing and innovating their value added services portfolio. Our open platforms provide opportunities for operators to integrate new and improved voice messaging services, enabling them to differentiate their services and compete within their market without comprising service quality.
