KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany, December 16 /PRNewswire/ --
- German Market Leader Establishes a Fully Integrated Platform for Its On-Trade and Off- Trade Distribution Channels
CAS AG, the leading global provider of demand side management solutions for the consumer products industry, today announced that the Radeberger Group, Germany's leading brewer with a market share of 15%, has extended its long-standing partnership with CAS.
Radeberger has just completed the successful implementation of the CAS CPWerx. Approximately 700 staff across customer support and external field sales are now working with the new system. CAS consumer products industry expertise and the deep functionality and ease of SAP integration with CPWerx were the main reasons for upgrading the CAS solution.
This reinforces the successful collaboration Radeberger and CAS have had since 1997. This partnership is further supported by the CAS implementation partner is4, which, like CAS, is a specialist in the consumer goods industry. As an SAP Special Expertise Partner for the consumer goods industry, is4 brought additional application and integration know-how for SAP's ERP and BW (Business Warehouse) products.
The 700 users, are spread across a range of functional areas of the company from field sales and customer sales support through to key account management. All of the users benefit from the CAS integrated platform which allows them to work together across multiple departments. This also covers both distribution channels of On-Trade, which includes the specialist drinks wholesale and retail trade, and Off-trade. A vast range of CPWerx modules, such as retail planning and execution, customer list maintenance and POS data acquisition, management of contract and advertising media, promotion planning and management, as well as sales reporting, are all deployed on the CAS platform.
The project went live less than six months after the pilot phase was completed in February 2008. The Radeberger team has been enabled with varying types of tools for example field sales staff has been supplied with new end-user devices: On-Trade is now working with TabletPCs (Convertibles) and Off-Trade and Key Account Management are using Notebooks.
It was only possible to keep to the ambitious project timetable due to consistent project management on all sides, said Henning Fromme, President CAS EMEA. The Radeberger Group is convinced that it would have been impossible to successfully implement a project of that scale and complexity in just 10 months, had it not been for CAS's knowledge of the sector and processes. The tight integration of CPWerx into Radeberger's IT landscape was another great success, particularly integration to the SAP systems (ERP and BW).
The excellent professional collaboration of the business process experts from the Radeberger Group with the deep CP consultancy and implementation team from CAS has been a critical success factor for Radeberger, he said
