- Comptel Opens New Representations in Mexico and Argentina to Serve Growing Latin America Customer Base
Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki: CTL1V), the leading vendor of dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, announced today that it has established representations in Mexico City and Buenos Aires to support the growing Latin American market. These representations complement Comptel's main office in the region in Sao Paulo (Brazil), central to the company's success in Latin America.
Comptel has achieved considerable success across Latin America in recent years and now has over ten customers in the region taking advantage of Comptel Dynamic OSS(TM) solutions. Comptel also sees tremendous potential in extending its existing strong partnerships with global system integrators as well as creating new alliances with local partners.
As adoption rates for new technologies increase, Latin American communications service providers face a lot of challenges, but also a tremendous opportunity, said Mr. Alexandre Troise, VP Latin America at Comptel. Having worked with over 280 customers worldwide, Comptel has experience in helping CSPs optimise their OSS and increase revenues from new wireless services. The growing adoption of IP in the region, especially in corporate segments, will make a dynamic OSS layer essential to help improve time to market.
A growing number of CSPs in the region recognise the value offered by Comptel, said Ms. Arnhild Schia, Comptel's Senior Vice President South and West Europe, Asia Pacific and Americas. Our strategy has been to partner with our customers and develop long-standing relationships. In this respect we have been very successful - for example, we have been working for over eight years with Axtel in Mexico.
Comptel will be exhibiting at Futurecom, Sao Paulo, Brazil, 27-30 October 2008 (booth: A24). Comptel will also be speaking on Quality of Experience Assurance for Broadband Service Usersat the conference from 12:20 on October 30th.
