CHESTER, England, October 14, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- MBNA has Announced the Launch of a New-Look Website.

Changes to the website http://www.mbna.co.uk include improvements to the navigation of the site which is now easier to use and more accessible for customers.

The introduction of additional new features will help customers choose the credit card which is most suited them, manage their accounts online more effectively and have access to helpful information about protecting their accounts and understanding credit.

Richard Honey, E-Commerce Executive for Bank of America Europe Card Services which operates under the MBNA brand in the UK, said: We have listened to feedback from our customers and have re-designed our website to be more contemporary and customer-focused.

An ever-increasing number of our customers use online channels to manage their credit card accounts and the re-design of our website makes it easier to use. It contains more information for our customers and allows them to discover more about our products and services.

Changes have been made to four key areas of the site, including the introduction of the credit card selector ( http://www.mbna.co.uk/choose-credit-card/which-credit-card/) designed to help customers choose which of MBNA's range of cards best fits their requirements.

Improvements to the 'card services and benefits' section allows new customers to activate their credit cards online ( http://www.mbna.co.uk/card-services-benefits/card-activation/), log in or register for Online Card Services ( http://www.mbna.co.uk/card-services-benefits/online-banking/) to manage their accounts and learn more about MBNA's credit card rewards programme (http://www.mbna.co.uk/card-services-benefits/rewards-programme/index.html).

A 'protection and security' section offers customers important credit card security advice, whilst Plain English guides have also been introduced to help customers better understand credit ( http://www.mbna.co.uk/understanding-credit/), with information on APRs, balance transfers, tackling debt and more.

Mr Honey added: We are committed to providing simplicity and choice for our millions of customers. We will continue to work hard to make sure we deliver on their needs by supplying them with clear and relevant information.

The re-launched website represents just one element in a series of changes to the MBNA brand that will take place over the coming months.

The move also adds to MBNA's transition to paperless statements (http://www.mbna.co.uk/card-services-benefits/card-benefits/index.html#pa... ess) for new Internet accounts launched earlier this year.
