Science 2.0 was founded in 2006 to provide a way for scientists, doctors, and engineers to communicate directly with the 65 million Americans who are interested in science and health issues.
We were not created by a trade association, an ad agency, or a corporation, the Science 2.0 movement was started by a guy in his bedroom. We do not represent any industry, we came into being solely so experts could take the place of editors and journalists who were falling prey to exaggerated findings, scaremongering, and hype. Because this is a prominent science organization, our work is often used by policymakers to offset claims by activists who have targeted vaccines, GMOs, farming, nuclear power, natural gas, and anything they call “chemicals” so they can sell alternatives.
