Former Natural Resources Defense Council Attorney Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. didn't get more pro-science by becoming Secretary of Health and Human Services, he instead acts like his beliefs in The Ancient Ways - no cell phones, no vaccines, food scarcity - have been validated.

He has proposed "wellness farms" to combat various problems he insists are lifestyle issues only government can fix. Basically, he is piling onto beliefs he advocated when his friend and fellow Democrat President Barack Obama was in office.(1) By his second term, President Obama wanted government so desperately in the lives of people he manufactured two things that "Obamacare" could fix; a prediabetes and a vaping epidemic.

Both were unmitigated nonsense. Prediabetes was laughed at by mainstream doctors, since only 5% of people with the a1c level his administration arbitrarily chose would ever develop diabetes, even if they lived 60 more years. China scoffed at it as an American attempt to sell more drugs, since half of China would suddenly be labeled prediabetic. No diabetes organization outside the US embraced it, but taxpayers are still paying for billboards. Somehow DOGE didn't get down to that stuff. Vaping was much the same. He used survey results commissioned by his political appointee and declared that any young person who had tried vaping in the previous year a was a user. Only his CDC could stop it.

The next logical step in government taking control of health care is a government panel deciding who needs to go to a re-education camp. After all, government is paying for it.(2) He calls it a "wellness farm" but it is the same eugenics mentality his fellow progressives, like Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes and Margaret Sanger, held 100 years ago.

It goes back farther than that. The ancestors of modern day Progressive Karens, even before Eugenics had an "ableist" mentality that they wrapped in a layer of concern,(3) created disease colonies that would keep people with a health issue from being enabled by their community. Kids with ADHD just need to be “re-parented”, presumably on an Organic™ food or raw milk operation using its modern-day equivalent, Wellness Farms.(4)

Justice "Three generations of imbeciles are enough" Holmes and Sanger were hardly alone. The New York Times endorsed Hitler's pro-science mentality, and eugenics was also endorsed by progressive legends H.G. Wells and John Maynard Keynes. Anyone who's read Keynesian economists like former Enron advisor Paul Krugman knows they hate the poor. Sierra Club founder John Muir had his history dismissed, rationalized, and glossed over for over 100 years before they finally apologized for his agenda against minorities.

There is no question ADD and ADHD were overdiagnosed, the same way autism was. And it was due to the same people; wealthy white families. Just over a decade ago, some schools on the California coast had under 30% of kids with MMR vaccines because they listened to celebrities like Kennedy and Robert De Niro and Andrew Wakefield. California teachers had more kids on ritalin and its equivalent than per capita any other state, because California teachers recommended it and concerned parents followed along. They were Kennedy supporters too. He was always the guy who thought taking an MMR vaccine meant a child would not be able to use the bathroom or get a job, even if it only got a concern level by most of his former political allies after he joined a Republican administration.

His only solution to a current epidemic we don't have is to take modern health - the thing in the name of the department he runs - out of circulation.

“Nature, the great restorer, will have an opportunity to do her best.”

Except that wasn't Kennedy, it was his fellow progressive Dr. William Spratling of the Craig Colony for Epileptics in New York a century ago, an organization which believed that sunshine and working on a farm would cure seizures. Instead, 5% of patients died and hundreds tried to escape.

Does anyone believe Kennedy when he claims these wellness farms will be voluntary? Luckily, we have a "conservative" Supreme Court, and they have consistently upheld that whenever medically possible, people with disabilities must be allowed to live in their communities.

They need to get ready. Eugenics is making a comeback, but this time the progressives are in the Republican party. Luckily for people with medical issues, SCOTUS is not dominated by a "liberal lion" such as Holmes.

NOTES:

(1) Obama liked him to much Kennedy was floated to run EPA but we helped him see reason there, as we did with President Trump during his first term.

(2) Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act, was rationalized because 700,000 people could not get health insurance but made too much money for Medicare. Instead of fixing Medicare, they enrolled what is now 50,000,000 people, while those who pay have seen premiums skyrocket by 400%. Those on Obamacare found they couldn't get a doctor because they capped the number of Obamacare patients they'd allow.

(3) Like Sanger did after Eugenics became an unpopular brand once Hitler made it into the policy American and European eugenicists advocated. So she created Planned Parenthood.

(4) There was no real gap. The last large university eugenics department closed in the 1970s but John Holdren and Paul Ehrlich were arguing for world government and forced sterilization in Ecoscience after that. Holdren went on to run science for...President Obama.
