BOSTON, May 5 /PRNewswire/ --

Eagle Investment Systems LLC, a leading provider of financial services technology and a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon, has welcomed approximately 400 attendees, a record attendance, at its 2008 Client Conference being held at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida from May 4 -- 7.

The client conference is aimed at educating clients on new product functionality and industry trends, and includes informative presentations on future product plans, client success stories, and corporate initiatives. Many of the sessions are interactive allowing Eagle's product and development managers to openly discuss new ideas and solutions with clients. The conference also promotes open communication between Eagle and its clients and ample opportunity for networking with Eagle and other guests.

"The Eagle client conference is the ideal setting to get to know our clients on a more personal level and hear first-hand about their Eagle experience. It is also a terrific opportunity for clients to network and exchange innovative ideas using our solutions," said John Lehner, president of Eagle Investment Systems. "We have experienced a lot of momentum over the last 18 months, and we are excited that our clients share our enthusiasm, which we feel is represented by the record number of attendees at our conference this year."

Eagle Version 9.0 (V9.0)

Eagle's latest version of its software, V9.0, which will be available later this month, is one of the most anticipated highlights of the event. Many of the sessions are focused on educating users about the latest version, and guests can view the new functionality in action in the Product and Partner Pavilion where kiosks and booths are set up to offer demonstrations. While the focus of V9.0 has remained on improving usability and workflow, the version also offers new functionality across all Eagle solutions.

Data Management Highlights

In V9.0, Eagle's data management solution has been enhanced with improved usability across the workflows providing easier maneuverability. It also offers a redesigned rules editor for more intuitive interaction. New features include the ability to handle multi-leg swaps for derivatives, a pricing option for direct access to pricing information and the ability to modify the system so users can readily access audit information.

Investment Accounting Highlights

V9.0 offers significant functionality around the processing and settlement of derivatives. Additionally, new features have been added to Eagle's Mutual Fund Accounting solution, which meets the needs of clients that support third party administrators and investment managers. V9.0 provides the ability to conduct more in-depth analysis of data that can be delivered to a client's specific audiences. For Eagle's Insurance Accounting solution, the latest version also supports the latest mandates from regulatory bodies.

Performance Highlights

Eagle's performance measurement solution suite, which consists of portfolio performance, GIPS(R) composite management, performance attribution and mutual fund performance, has been enhanced as a result of client feedback. A dynamic performance analysis capability was introduced to enable clients to regroup and filter security level performance on-the-fly to support ad hoc analysis and accommodate more robust look-though analysis. The workflow around the GIPS(R) composite management module now enables an end-to-end solution to help clients maintain the composite through an automated process all the way through to creating necessary disclosures. The performance attribution module was expanded to include additional methodologies that help meet both client and evolving industry requirements for both equity and fixed income attribution models.

Information Delivery Highlights

Information delivery, the calculation, derivation and delivery of financial information, offers a number of new packaged options for viewing and receiving information in V9.0. Also driven by client priorities, V9.0 was enhanced to allow more points of flexibility that enable clients to generate multiple perspectives of data through the Eagle Data Mart, a tool set that allows the business to define its universe of reportable data and in turn provide access to this enriched data to any downstream system or application.
