To show their support for the Obama administration in the president's war with Republicans, the NSF shut off its website, citing budget concerns - believable, if you also believe the NSF pays its web hosting bill by the day and can't afford its site today but still pays enough to put up this screen.

And I took a screen cap so their idiocy and partisanship could be preserved for posterity. The great thing about Science 2.0 not having any government or corporate overlord is we can poke sycophants in the eye as needed, and the NSF needs it.

They wonder why when Senator Tom Coburn goes after them for partisanship, arbitrary decision-making, duplication and waste, most of America is on his side. This is why.
