It seems that Abigail and Jacob will be at the top of Santa's gift-list this Christmas morning. A school rewards site says that children with these names are most likely to behave well.

Little girls called Beth and little boys named Josh will not be so fortunate; children with those names appear less prone to good behavior (so more prone to naughtiness?  Look for an evolutionary psychology study coming soon!)

Whatever your name, it is only a 'draft' list and not biological determinism so kids still have three weeks to improve their behavior.

How did they determine which names will be more likely to get good loot and which ones are likely to be deemed naughty and get coal in their stockings?   By tabulating which kids with which names get the School Stickers rewards they make, of course.  And their results say kids named Jacob, Nathan, Samuel, Alexander and Christopher do well while Josh, Scott, Sam, Alex and Tom appear least often among recipients.

When it comes to girls, parents are more likely to have an easier time if they have a daughter called Abigail, Louise, Rachel, Elizabeth or Anna, while Beth, Lydia, Abbie, Paige or Courtney don't get kudos as often.

On the British culture scene, William's and Kate's have both been nice this year, though Catherine's have been even better behaved. Cheryl's have been very well behaved this year but Danni's need to improve over the next three weeks.

If you haven't figured it out, http://www.schoolstickers.co.uk supplies schools with stickers, postcards and certificates which teachers give pupils for good behavior and achievement. Teacher's can have online codes on the rewards and this year over 57,000 pupils registered their rewards online.

Our prediction; the kids who get the best presents will not be determined by their names or their reward stickers or any kind of list except where their parents rank in adjusted gross income.
