LONDON, October 30 /PRNewswire/ -- SentryBay, a leader in real-time internet data security software, and ProjectFusion, a provider of secure internet-based datarooms, are collaborating to strengthen the access security of ProjectFusion's solutions, particularly from key logging spyware.

The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will see SentryBay's EntryProtect(TM) embedded within ProjectFusion's dataroom software applications making them 'key logger-proof'. This will further reduce customers' risk of corporate espionage, while protecting brand and corporate reputations.

ProjectFusion's virtual datarooms enable businesses to share documents securely online, and choose whether users can print, copy, download, or merely view files onscreen. This secure sharing simplifies tasks like audits, refinancing and MA due diligence, saving both time and money. ProjectFusion applies usernames, passwords and location-based restrictions to minimise risks of insider trading and information leaks. These existing tight security measures are now further strengthened with SentryBay's embedded key logging protection.

ProjectFusion users who will benefit from the new robust solution include: Rothschild, UBS, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, ING, Linklaters, CMS Cameron McKenna, MOFO, Reedsmith, Salans, Carpathian PLC and KPMG.

ProjectFusion works with the UK's top financial institutions on high-value deals so the importance of security cannot be underestimated. Most data is stolen by spyware which key logs account logon information to access and steal confidential information - fully securing that access point prevents ProjectFusion's customers' data from being uplifted and used by rogue staff or criminals, said Dave Waterson, CEO at SentryBay.

We are delighted to be working with SentryBay. EntryProtect is superior to the other solutions we looked at because it's multi-layered, it protects against virtually 100% of spyware and operates invisibly so no user education is required, said Angus Bradley at ProjectFusion. The response from customers so far has been very positive.

EntryProtect prevents the uplifting of any sensitive data such as user names, passwords, credit card, bank account details and any other identity-based or sensitive data entered into a web-based application. As EntryProtect provides true end-to-end encryption of all transmitted data (beyond the scope of SSL), it also provides full protection against MITM and replay attacks.

The largest single dataroom transaction supported by ProjectFusion is valued at GBP8 billion and the largest dataroom run is 125Gb (over 3 million pages).
