About Elizabeth Elizabeth Winograd-Cort is a fourth year graduate student at Yale University. In the lab, she researches the mechanisms of plant disease resistance in the Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology Department. Outside the lab, she is interested in learning about and influencing how science impacts the world and how the politics and cultures of the world affect science. She graduated from Brown University in 2005 with a AB in Biology and German Studies, writing honors theses on Arabidopsis evolution and German language science fiction.
