Education: Ph.D. in Biology from University of California, San Diego, B.S. in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University
Current Research as a Postdoc at Stanford University: Using C. elegans to construct a model of thermal compensation in neural circuits. Specific focus on the connection between temperature sensing neurons and neural circuits that regulate behavior. This work may lay a foundation for understanding thermal compensation mechanisms in humans. Secondary focus is developing novel techniques for reducing the cost of genome sequencing.
