- Industry Veteran Brings More Than 18 Years of Experience Leading Growth of Enterprise Software Organizations
OpTier(R), the leader in Business Transaction Management (BTM) for the enterprise, today announced that Colin Rowland, a UK-based seasoned technology executive, has been named senior vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Rowland will report to Ori Mazin, OpTier's vice chairman of the board and head of worldwide sales.
Rowland has been a technology leader for more than 18 years and has held senior management positions at several industry-leading organizations. He brings an expertise in cultivating strategic relationships and successfully selling data center technologies to companies of all sizes throughout the world.
Prior to joining OpTier, Rowland was senior vice president of EMEA operations for provisioning, configuration and management firm Opsware. During his tenure, Opsware was acquired by Hewlett Packard for approximately US$1.6 billion. Prior to this, Rowland held sales leadership positions at Mercury Interactive over the course of nearly four years. During this time, Rowland created and led the company's Application Performance Management business unit in EMEA. Between 1989 and 2000, Rowland held various positions at Hewlett Packard, culminating in the founding and managing of their software business operations in the UK.
