UPPSALA, Sweden, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Beactica AB, the Swedish fragment-based drug discovery company, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Lexington, MA; NASDAQ: CBST). Under the agreement, Beactica will use its Sprint(TM) surface plasmon resonance (SPR)-integrated drug discovery platform to target multi-component proteins from pathogenic bacteria of interest to Cubist. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Cubist becomes the fifth life-science company to enter an agreement with Beactica in the past eighteen months.
