- Life-Size Topiary Elephant Herd Transported by JPM Eco Logistics, the UK's Greenest Haulage Company
'Dragons' Den' stars Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis, along with their joint investment JPM Eco Logistics have made it possible for a herd of 13 life-size topiary elephants to tour the UK throughout the summer as part of 'The Survival Tour'. Designed to raise awareness of the plight of Asian elephants and the threat posed by man to their natural environment, the tour is a joint collaboration between the charity 'Elephant Family', The Royal Parks Foundation and the World Land Trust.
Paul Merker, Managing Director, JPM Eco Logistics said: "As the UK's greenest haulage company we're delighted to work with the Elephant Family on this national tour. By using 100% bio-diesel made from pure rape-seed oil, removing CO2 emissions from our vehicles and recycling their consumable parts, we can move the precious herd of elephants without causing damage to the environment, which was crucial to the charity when searching for a logistics partner to be in keeping with the entire campaign."
Deborah Meaden said of the partnership between JPM Eco Logistics and the Elephant Family charity: "A 'green' haulage firm transporting green elephants, a perfect partnership. No other logistics company currently operating in the UK was able to provide the charity with what they wanted, further proof if it were needed that JPM Eco Logistics is poised to become the market leader in environmentally friendly commercial transportation in the UK."
JPM Eco Logistics appeared on the last series of 'Dragons' Den', securing GBP100,000 investment in return for 20% each from Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis who spotted the enormous potential of investing in the UK's greenest haulage company.
The vehicles JPM Eco Logistics' use are supplied by Volvo as part of an ongoing partnership to develop technologies that make it possible to reduce the harmful impact of commercial vehicles both here and abroad.
