- Redline's RedACCESS(TM) AN80i Enables Passengers to Access Free On-Board High Speed Wireless Internet Services

Redline Communications Group Inc. ("Redline") (TSX and AIM: RDL), a leading provider of WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced that Utah Transit Authority (UTA) has selected Redline's RedACCESS AN80i broadband wireless platform to provide passengers with free Wi-Fi access aboard UTA's new high speed commuter train.

Redline's AN80i point to multipoint products were deployed on 12 double-decker trains on the new 40 mile (64 km) FrontRunner commuter rail between Ogden City and Salt Lake City in Utah. The RedACCESS system was installed along the tracks at 0.5 to 2.5 mile intervals. The track-side units communicate with on-board units connected to Wi-Fi access points on each train. As the train passes along the 40 mile corridor, connections from one access point to another are handed off, providing passengers seamless high speed connectivity.

Redline's Value Added Distribution Partner, Talley Communications, was responsible for providing the equipment necessary to carry out the project. "Picking the right product is critical for these types of projects, and pairing up Redline products with an integrator like Wasatch, ensures success in the solution delivered," said Hal Wooden, Vice President, Talley Communications.

Redline's Certified Integration Partners Wasatch Electric and Nomad Digital were contracted by UTA to install and deploy the solution. The Utah Transit Authority network is the latest commuter rail project for which Nomad Digital has selected Redline's broadband wireless products.

"Free high-speed WiFi services will enable UTA to increase its ridership by attracting business commuters who want to use their time more effectively," said Jim Clark, Project Manager, Wasatch Electric. "Working with reliable partners and Redline's high performance equipment enables us to deliver on time every time."

Six weeks after the opening of the new commuter rail, the number of passengers using Wi-Fi increased from 300 per day in May 2008 to 900 per day in July 2008.

"The potential for providing mobile broadband data links to transit and other mobile vehicle fleets is largely untapped in the USA. The FrontRunner train project has provided us with a world-class reference site and we are already working on new opportunities in the US with Redline, Wasatch and Talley," said Nigel Wallbridge, Executive Chairman of Nomad Digital.

"UTA is truly a forward-looking organization that will set the trend for advanced transportation and customer services in the future," said Christopher Koeneman, Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Redline Communications. "We are thrilled that the RedACCESS products were chosen as part of the solution."
