Eschatology

From wikipedia: The word eschatology is from
the Greek ἔσχατος, Eschatos
meaning "last" and -logy meaning "the study of", first used in
English around 1550
That is, 'the end times'

Time - Clocks

Are we cheating ourselves by relying on our clocks?
Do we really understand the workings of the universe enough to have comfortably settled into regulating our lives by them?
Is the method we use totally reliable?
Researchers at Queen's University have helped produce a new archaeological tool which could answer key questions in human evolution.
The new calibration curve, which extends back 50,000 years, is a major landmark in radiocarbon dating -- the method used by archaeologists and geoscientists to establish the age of carbon-based materials.
It could help research issues including the effect of climate change on human adaption and migrations.

Got to be useful, right?

"This is one of the most precise measurements of
collisional effects in a clock," says NIST/JILA Fellow Jun Ye, whose
strontium atomic clock design enables scientists to "peek into very tiny
effects."The new techniques make JILA's strontium clock 50
percent more accurate than the results reported last year, so that it
now would neither gain nor lose 1 second in more than 300 million years.
The method could also be applicable to many other atomic clocks based
on neutral atoms.

Phenomenal, will it get me to work any earlier.....?

NO! Work will still be there, since even if the clocks were 5 minutes out, I would only be 10 minutes late, at worst. - but the day would surely be the same

[He He, journalistic license applied there, as I don't really go to work any more due to too many revolutions of the clock :) ]

But is there another need pressing for us to reconsider our reliance on accurate clocks?

There are far greater cycles than the day, week, month, year, even hundreds of decades which affect each and every one of us

It is said by many that we are heading for the end of the world - our time is running out

The end times are due

Is it? or, are they?

How would we tell? How would we measure?

Our lives are tiny in relation to the cycles of the planets, yet, as humans we have kept records
Great earth shattering events have been recorded
Huge earthquakes, Tsunamis, Floods, Tectonic plate shifts, undersea gas releases, even wars of nations against nations - all have occurred in our long and short recent history
All these are seen by many as indicators of the end times

But all our records use the same time scale....

Just suppose that we're wrong!

Suppose that by adhering to 'Solar Time' we are missing clues or pointers to something else?

How COULD we know?

Well, one possibility is to look at and compare ancient cultures records

One, that interests me greatly is the Mayan Calendar

Many refer to the Mayan calendar as re-enforcing their views of doom and despair

There is a date in December 2012, when the Mayan Calendar appears to end.....

but it is based on a completely different set of cycles

It isn't about solar timed regulated days, at all....
Its about human evolution, the inner journey, the esoteric side of our nature so often forgotten or denied
It starts some 16.4 billion years ago, and is essentially more closely linked to lunar, or planetary cycles, and is divided into 7 days and six nights, making a 13 divisor
but as one progresses through the cycles, all manner of historical events coincide with this amazing historical record,
not only that, as the days and nights pass the periodicity changes also - it isn't regular, it speeds up, the days get shorter, the nights, too
until by February 2011, we enter the final age of seven days and six nights, and the changes occuring are not just occuring outside of us, but inside too
Some people are already aware of these changes and sense a feeling of preparedness, for some synchronous event
The prediction is one of a cosmic consciousness, a melding of minds, as we break our shackles to the things which bind us and begin a new journey......into....

the beginning of the end, or other possibilities

Bear in mind, you won't be experiencing this alone, it is of universal application......

Are you ready?

Watch this series of videos by Ian Xel Lungold, for more detail
There are 18 parts, but you'll soon get the idea of what I'm talking about

So what will happen at the end, well apart from a lot of panic, and fear......probably not a lot

Since it isn't about the end of the world, it's about the end of a world view

The end of an era, or aeon, or headspace, or whatever

The thing is, it DOES coincide with an alignment of planets which only occurs once an aeon, or great age....every 26000 years or so [hint 13 x 2000 years, though I could be wrong...]

Like all human tales, ....you know, sailing off the edge of the world, the year 2000 'catastrophe'
No doubt we will look back on this end as being the beginning of the next one

Hopefully with far less fear than is currently in vogue

thanks for reading

Enjoy
