LONDON, March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Crown Agents is pleased to announce the appointment of Terence Jagger as chief executive. He succeeds Keith White CBE, who held the position since 2005 and spent almost 40 years with the company.

Jagger joins Crown Agents on 7 March 2011 from one of the most senior civilian roles within the Ministry of Defence, command secretary of the RAF at their HQ in High Wycombe.

During his 16-year career with the MoD he has worked in Afghanistan as political advisor to the NATO commander in Kabul; headed up the public finance initiative (PFI) unit and led the privatisation of QinetiQ.

Jagger previously worked in the private sector for companies like Shell, American Express, Burmah Oil and Unigate, specialising in public affairs, strategy development and investor relations. He studied Modern History at Magdalen, Oxford and has masters degrees in Finance (London Businss School) and in International Relations (King's College, London), when his final paper examined the economic basis of individual country contributions to NATO.

Paul Batchelor, non-executive chairman at Crown Agents, said that Jagger will bring an array of skills, which will complement those of the current management team and leadership.

"Terence Jagger is very much in tune with the goals and values of our organisation as we seek to assist clients in bringing about change that improves lives and opportunities. His deep experience of both the public and private sectors will help us as we embark on the next phase of our growth and development.

"At the same time we would like to thank Keith White for his leadership and the progress that Crown Agents has made during his time as chief executive," he said.
