Media invitation to the 8th annual Silicon Valley Comes to Oxford - the Saïd Business School's leading entrepreneurship forum. Speakers will explore the big issues and future directions of innovation and entrepreneurial phenomena in a vibrant and fast paced mix of masterclasses and panel debates. This leading European entrepreneurship forum brings business leaders and luminaries from across Silicon Valley with Oxford faculty, MBAs, student members of Oxford University and the British entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Silicon Valley Comes to Oxford 2008 will feature a full 360 degree perspective of the various technologies, ventures, sectors and trends which represent the Silicon Valley phenomenon. Systems, software and the internet are the bedrock of Silicon Valley from smart search engines and intelligent databases to open source software, social networking, e-commerce and web TV. The overlap of these technologies and trends provides the opportunity to fully explore future directions. Trends shall be contrasted with the longer term and visionary elements of technology on a keynote panel entitled 'The Universe, the Brain and Second Life.'
