Third Wave Systems and retired Dr. Juergen Leopold (Fraunhofer Institute) have joined forces in a formal agreement that will enhance AdvantEdge technical support throughout Germany. Leopold is a long-time user of Third Wave's AdvantEdge software, which simulates machining processes for analysis and optimization, and will serve as the point of contact for all Germany-based companies requesting technical support. With extensive experience in real-world machining applications and expertise in material modeling, Leopold adds a professional presence in Germany and joins a list of international TWS personnel and distributors located in Europe and Asia. Dr. Leopold received a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Control Engineering from the Karl-Marx-Stadt (now: Chemnitz) University of Technology, Germany; a PhD degree in Pneumatics/Hydraulics; a Doctor of Science degree in Manufacturing; and has since gone on to publish more than 180 articles in scientific and technical mediums.
