SAO PAULO, Brazil, September 5 /PRNewswire/ --

- Event will be held September 17-20 at the Transamerica Expo Center

- Those interested in the visits can now register for the Congress and reserve a space

The World Federation of Investors Corporation Congress (WFIC), which will take place September 17-20 at the Transamerica Expo Center in Sao Paulo, will be offering participants the opportunity to tour the installations of two of the country's largest companies: Petrobras and Vale.

Congress attendees can either visit the Petrobras Henrique Lage Refinery, one of the company's most important installations, or Vale's Mutuca, Aguas Claras and Capao Xavier mines. The Petrobras visit will be on Saturday, September 20. The company will show the refinery's installations and provide an overview of the production process. The Vale visit is scheduled for September 22 and will last four hours. Both visits are courtesy of the companies for those attending the congress; space is limited and reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Investors interested in visiting Petrobras or Vale must register for the Congress. Specific details of each visit, as well as procedures for making reservations, can be found at: http://www.expomoney.com.br/wficbr/visitas.html.

This is the first time the Congress is being held in Brazil. The country was chosen because of worldwide investor interest. The Instituto Nacional de Investidores - INI (National Investors Institute), member of the World Federation of Investors Corporation, is responsible for bringing the WFIC Congress to Brazil, organized in partnership with TradeNetwork, organizer Expo Money, with support from several Brazilian and international institutions.

For investor Fabio Roberto Fowler, only through events focused on financial education can the capital market be demystified and stock markets effectively popularized. "Events such as the World Congress are a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect with investors from other countries and other Brazilian states, while providing direct access to the country's largest publicly held companies," he says.

Fowler says the holding of the WFIC in his country should be seen as an important milestone for the Brazilian investment market. "Brazil was selected because of the importance of its market. We know that the growing value of Brazilian companies and their future potential served as justifications for holding the event here," he concluded.
