Journalist Chris Cuomo and his spouse were criticized after endorsing a variety of nonsense products recommended by their "naturopath" to treat his COVID-19 - claims that involved light energy, tinctures and a variety of useless placebos.

They are more common than the U.S. Food and Drug Administration either realizes or is willing to admit. Maybe they don't worry more because President Clinton's Dietary Supplement and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA) tied their hands, and $35 billion a year in bogus products are allowed to bilk the public if they simply put a tiny disclaimer at the bottom noting FDA has not evaluated their cosmic claims. Wealthy elites like the Cuomos flock to these alternatives because their intellectual proclivities cause them to believe Science Is A Corporate Conspiracy and that nature used to cure everything until Big Pharma pushed that out of the way.

COVID-19, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that erupted in Wuhan last year and spread worldwide, changed that for most. Green products, fancy soaps, and Seventh Generation substitutes languish on store shelves while Lysol, Purell, and Clorox are difficult to find.

A small selection of the products willing to dupe you out of your money.

The full list of fraudulent COVID-19 products they are warning people about for coronavirus is here but the rule of thumb is that if it's "homeopathy" it is useless and if it is a "naturopath" product it is perhaps dangerous (injecting turmeric) and useless. An "integrative medicine" product is the rebranded term for "alternative medicine" which was rebranded "traditional medicine" which was originally "folk medicine." They all have a precursor to the word "medicine" because none of them are actual medicine. CBD has helped no one to-date except in anecdotes, it is useless for COVID-19.  Essential oils do nothing but smell nice. The word "Gaia" in the title is a sign someone spent a week on a Costa Rican vacation learning herbal names and is now exploiting the gullible, if you have more of an Asian fetish that word is Ayurvedic. If your guru is Mark Hyman the bogus code word is "wellness." If it is a supplement, and you don't have a diagnosed medical condition such as chronic low vitamin D levels, it is probably useless unless it is adulterated with a real drug. A tincture can be anything you want it to be except a remedy for a disease.
