The venue is the auditorium (horsaal) of the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) laboratories, just west of the center of Hamburg, at Notkestrasse 85. The event starts at 5PM.
The program of the afternoon includes music by a violin and piano duo before and after the lecture; the performers are Sabina Bakholdina and Olga Krzefski. Baldi's lecture will be complemented by a round table discussion on machine learning and particle physics. Participants to the round table include Baldi, Prof. Glen Cowan, Dr. Andrey Ustyuzhanin, and myself. The moderator is Dr. Isabel Melzer-Pellmann. The event will finish with refreshments for all participants.
