    This video has become quite popular the last few days, so if you've already seen it, my apologies. Nevertheless, I decided to post it here because it's just so darn pretty. It's a time lapse sequence of photographs taken by astronaut Ron Garan and his colleagues during a mission at the ISS.

    I know the astronomers and sky watchers might resent me saying it, but the artificial illumination from this distance is nicer than the auroras!
    Did I also see lightning?

    It's such a surreal sight, that it you may be tricked into believing it's computer generated.
